Lori Hansford is an ABC-certified orthotist with more than 21 years of clinical and professional experience. Lori began her orthotic career in 1983 working as an Office Administrator for Orthopedic Service Center Inc. in Topeka. She quickly grew into a role where she assisted the clinicians with patient care. This led her to pursue a full time career in orthotics. Lori then began working for a national prosthetics and orthotics company in 1988. She continued with this role until early January, 2015 when she began her career with Horizon Orthotic & Prosthetic Experience, Inc.
Lori’s area of clinical focus include pediatric lower extremity orthotics, cranial remolding orthoses, as well as spinal management. She specializes in orthotic management of gait deviations and spasticity in infants, toddlers, juveniles, adolescents and elderly patients. She is highly skilled in custom-designed orthotic devices for cranial deviations related to plagiocephaly. Lori appreciates developing long term relationships with the patients and families that she treats. She strives to use the most innovative devices to provide her patients with the support and comfort that they deserve.

Rebecca grew up in the Kansas City area. She attended college for undergraduate studies at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. There she majored in Psychology, Pre Physical Therapy and Critical Thought and Inquiry. She minored in Coaching and Performance Enhancement. Rebecca also played four years on the women’s soccer team at Jewell as a goalie.
Upon graduating from Jewell, Rebecca began working at HOPE as a technician. She worked full time as a technician from January 2010 to August 2010, acquiring observation hours in the field. She started prosthetic school in August 2010 through Northwestern University. While in school she continued to work part-time as a technician. In January 2011, Rebecca attended Northwestern University for the clinical portion of the prosthetics program. She graduated Prosthetic school at the end of March 2011. She returned to work at HOPE as a prosthetic resident until passing her Board Exams in November 2013.
Rebecca returned to Northwestern University Orthotics program in November of 2011 and graduated at the end of June 2012. She completed her Orthotic Residency and passed her board exams in early 2016. She currently works as a CPO in the Overland Park, KS clinic for HOPE. She manages a wide variety of orthotic and prosthetic patients in this clinic. She attends several clinics in the Kansas City metropolitan area and is responsible for evaluation, design, manufacture, and fitting of artificial limbs and orthopedic braces and supports. She is highly skilled in working with both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Rick Grayson DPM.,CPed is an ABC-Board Certified Pedorthist as of November, 2017. He is a retired Board Certified Podiatrist, and Foot and Ankle Surgeon. His fellowship degree was earned at Baker College-Flint, Michigan, June 2017. The required professional experience was obtained through Horizon Orthotic and Prosthetic Experience, Inc.(HOPE) where he continues his career as a Board Certified Staff Pedorthist at the Independence, MO location. Dr. Grayson works with patients for their lower extremity medical conditions, such as diabetic conditions requiring therapeutic shoes, orthosis and bracing management, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, foot amputations, and gait deviations. Dr. Grayson is active in giving presentations to other members of the healthcare communities, and the team approach to this field. Currently he is working with the Truman Medical Center three year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency program. He is excited to be a part of the highly skilled and experienced team at HOPE. He looks forward to provide exceptional service and care to the Kansas City Metro areas.

Mark is an ABC-certified Orthotist with more than 9 years of clinical and professional experience. Mark earned an associates in applied science from Barton County Community college in 2005. He then went on to earn a B.S. in Biology from Fort Hays State University in Hays Kansas in 2008. During his time at Fort Hays State University, he spent volunteer hours in the physical therapy field, where he developed a passion to help people over come gait deviations and restore something that was physically or visually lost.
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University, Mark was accepted into the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Colby Community college. After completeing his PTA program at Colby Mark began to work at MidAmerica Rehabilitation hospital in 2009. After 4 years in physcial therapy Mark developed a passion for the orthotic and prosthetic field. He was accepted in the the Northwestern University Orthotic program in 2012. After completing orthotic school at Northwestern he served his residency at HOPE . He then attended the Newington Prosthetic Certificate program. After passing his boards in April of 2017 through American Board for Certification in orthotics and prosthetics, Mark became a Certified Orthotist. He has continued his career with HOPE as a staff Prosthetist-Orthotist at the Overland Park Location location.
Mark has experience with orthotic and prosthetic management with infantile, juvenile, adolescent, athletic, and elderly patients with ranging pathologies and gait deviations. He is highly skilled in custom-designed orthotic and prosthetic devices in both upper and lower extremities. He enjoys giving presentations to other member of the healthcare community and the team approach to the field.
Mark is excited to be a part of the highly skilled and experienced team at HOPE. He looks forward to continuing providing high quality care in the Kansas City Metro area.
