Michael Schultz 2012

Mike Schultz is an ABC-certified prosthetist-orthotist with more than 20 years of clinical and professional experience. He is the founder of H.O.P.E., Inc. As a previous practice manager with a national prosthetics and orthotics company, Mike led a multidisciplinary team that restored mobility, independence, and self-confidence to patients of all ages and functional abilities. In 1990, he joined a national prosthetics and orthotics company in Kansas City, MO. In this market he was responsible for the operations of six patient care facilities and 25 employees.
 
Mike earned a B.S. in Biology from Northern Illinois University in 1986. He then attended the Certificate Program in Prosthetics at Northwestern University in Chicago. Upon completion of his residency and the passing of his board exams for prosthetics, Mike returned to Northwestern University to attend their Certificate Program in Orthotics. Finally, Michael earned his Master of Business/Administration from Baker University (Kansas) in 1999.
 
Mike began his career with American Prosthetics in Des Moines, IA in 1987. In 1990, he joined Hanger in Kansas City, MO. In this market he was responsible for the operations of six patient care facilities and 25 employees. In April 2003, he accepted the position as a Practice Manager in Des Moines, IA. In this role he was responsible for the management of two facilities. In addition, he was responsible for evaluation, design, manufacture, and fitting of artificial limbs and orthopedic braces and supports. He is highly skilled in working with both adult and pediatric patients and specializes in custom-designed devices for transtibial amputees. He is proud to know he has helped thousands of patients reclaim their ability to do things they thought they’d never do again.
