About H.O.P.E.
Horizon Orthotic & Prosthetic Experience (H.O.P.E.) is a locally-owned and operated organization that provides custom orthotics (orthopedic bracing) and prosthetics (artificial limbs) to patients in the Kansas City metropolitan area and across the Midwest.  This organization was established in 2007 out of a passion for quality patient care and a commitment to personal integrity
H.O.P.E. strives to bring our community the latest technology, combined with the highest level of service to the patient.  We have facilities located in Overland Park, Kansas (KS), and Independence, Missouri (MO).  We fabricate all of the various custom orthotic and prosthetic devices in our in-house lab, giving our clinical staff more control over the quality of the device.  Our offices are conveniently located near major hospitals and rehabilitation centers throughout the KC metropolitan area.
Mike Schultz, BS, MBA, CPO founded this organization in 2007 as he saw a great need in the community for an orthotic & prosthetic provider with a passion for quality patient care.  He personally has nearly 25 years of experience in the orthotic and prosthetic field and the staff has a combined total Experience of over 100 years. Mike has worked in the Kansas City area for more than 20 years of his career and has formed strong relationships with many of the medical professionals in the community.  In addition, Mike is also an educator in the community, teaching at local high schools, Rockhurst University Physical Therapy program and the local community colleges.
The name of the company says a lot about the vision that Mike had when setting out to open the first clinic in 2007.  His goal was to hire the most "Experienced" and highly trained clinical, technical and administrative staff to not only provide the most advanced orthotic and prosthetic devices, but to also insure that the patient has a very positive "Experience" each and every time they come to one of our clinics.  We want our patients to stand up and walk away from a vist to our clinic knowing that there is "H.O.P.E on the Horizon!"
